Dear cosmetics, beauty and hygiene industry stakeholders,
The pandemic which has affected all our lives and businesses has hit the exhibitions industry greatly. Since March, no exhibitions around the world have been conducted and like many other sectors, most international fairs in the cosmetic, beauty and hygiene sectors have been postponed to 2021.
BEAUTYISTANBUL is an international export exhibition which 2019 edition included 8,246 visitors of which 63% attended from 145 countries and 313 exhibitors of which 50% participated from 52 countries. To preserve the quality of the exhibition and for it to be productive for both exhibitors and visitors, international travel must be restored to its previous status.
However, various regions around the world not facing the peak of Covid-19, many countries not lifting quarantine regulations and uncertainties regarding both the opening of borders and the start of international flights still continue. On the other hand, with regards to the feedback we have received from a majority of both local and international exhibitors in addition to discussions with international professional visitors, taking into consideration the doubts to attend to 2020 edition and travel restrictions in place; we believe that instead of organizing an unproductive and low quality event, postponing it would be the most correct decision.
Therefore, the 2nd BEAUTYISTANBUL exhibition has been postponed to 14-15-16 October 2021.
Nevertheless, the BEAUTYISTANBUL O2O Online Platform which has been active since January 1st 2019, is not only one of the limited examples in the exhibition sector but also is one of the first examples of the virtual exhibition concept which has gained great popularity throughout the duration of the pandemic. BEAUTYISTANBUL’s exhibitors and registered visitors have been able to utilize the platform and benefit from it with many exhibitors starting exports before the exhibition, making connections with companies online before the event and arranging meetings with them at their booths.
During this period, we are continuing to develop our O2O Platform and we have implemented a video calling feature starting with June 15th, with more features to come soon. In this time where physical business discussions cannot be arranged, our O2O Online Platform’s value has greatly increased and we would like to remind you that throughout the course of the pandemic, it is an invaluable source to forge new business partnerships and to find potential international clients.
