Jim Shaw wins Best International Men’s Commercial Collection at the International Hairdressing Awards in Madrid

Artistic Director, Jim Shaw scoops Best International Men’s Commercial Collection at the International Hairdressing Awards with first edition, main sponsors as Revlon and Revlon Professional.
Celebrating the very best in hairdressing, the IHA’s brings together undisputed talent from across the globe and is famed for being the biggest night in the hairdressing calendar.

Jim Shaw was awarded Best International Men’s Commercial Collection with his series ‘DECADE’. He commented: “The collection spans from a decade of my collections and takes the best from each year to create an ultimate collection, that reflects my signature style”.

Jim Shaw has dedicated his career to male grooming excellence. Not only is he the only leading men’s stylist of essensuals MEN in the UK, but has an array of previous accolades including winning Men’s Hairdresser of the Year at the 2007 British Hairdressing Awards. “To win this award is an incredible feeling and something I have dedicated my career towards. I can’t wait to see what further opportunities lie ahead” Jim added.

In its first year, participation exceeded all the expectations of the organization, with hundreds of collections presented from around the world. Hairdressers from 26 countries registered to participate with their photographic in five categories, plus the highly coveted and most prestigious award: Honorary Award.

Considered the awards of all awards, the IHA’s are based on photographic entries that demonstrate the stylist’s capable ability as well as creative flair.

The star-studded ceremony took place on Sunday 3rd February 2019 in Madrid with a glittering show; the catwalk hosted some of the most important teams in the world, and the Hollywood-style awards ceremony celebrated talent and produced all the glitz and glamour this industry deserves.
