TONI&GUY Educator Sylvestre Finold, scoops Best International Avant-Garde Collection at the International Hairdressing Awards with first edition, main sponsors as Revlon and Revlon Professional.
Celebrating the very best in hairdressing, the IHA’s brings together undisputed talent from across the globe and is famed for being the biggest night in the hairdressing calendar.
Sylvestre Finold, TONI&GUY Wimbledon, was awarded best International Avant-Garde Collection. Commenting on the collection, “The inspiration came from some fashion sketches I found on social media, combined with bright colours and lighting, taken from Japanese manga. In this collection, I wanted to show how you can make Avant-Garde beautiful, but also keep it feminine through the process of styling and makeup”.

In its first year, participation exceeded all the expectations of the organization, with hundreds of collections presented from around the world. Hairdressers from 26 countries registered to participate with their photographic in five categories, plus the highly coveted and most prestigious award: Honorary Award.
Considered the awards of all awards, the IHA’s are based on photographic entries that demonstrate the stylist’s capable ability as well as creative flair.
The star-studded ceremony took place on Sunday 3rd February 2019 in Madrid with a glittering show; the catwalk hosted some of the most important teams in the world, and the Hollywood-style awards ceremony celebrated talent and produced all the glitz and glamour this industry deserves.
