Hong Kong, November 2017 – The international network of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna continues to grow, as the exhibition in Italy celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2017.
Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna in Italy – along with Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong and Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas – reinforces its role as the leading B2B trade platform for the global beauty sector, thanks to the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Department and Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and to the collaboration of Cosmetica Italia – Personal Care Association.
More than 360,000 industry professionals and 6,600 exhibiting companies in the world take part in these three events. The 50th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna alone attracted more than 250,000 beauty professionals and 2,700 exhibiting companies in March 2017.
The 2018 edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will see new exhibition dates for specific product sectors. The exhibition dates for Retail, Perfumery and Cosmetics, Green and Natural and International Pavilions, concurrently with Cosmopack, will be From 15 to 18 March (Thursday to Sunday). Meanwhile the halls dedicated to beauty professionals – Hair, Nail, Beauty Salon & Spa – with the pavilions of China and Taiwan will open from 16 to 19 March (Friday to Monday). This new arrangement is in line with the objective of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna to adapt to the specific requirements of professionals attending the exhibition and give them a personal experience.
Four months after the show in Bologna will be Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas which takes place from 29 to 31 July 2018. Set to welcome around 1,280 exhibitors from 45 countries and 11 country pavilions, the fair continues to hold its position as the most prominent event in the West Coast of the United States.
Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong will continue with its “One Fair, Two Venues” concept in 2018. From 13 to 15 November, Cosmopack Asia at AsiaWorld-Expo will host cosmetics suppliers, while the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre will host finished products companies from 13 to 16 November. The show is set to welcome more than 2,800 exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions, as well as 25 country pavilions.
Meanwhile, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is further strengthened with Belleza y Salud in Columbia in September 2017, thanks to the collaboration between Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof as international representative, CORFERIAS – International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogotá, and ANDI – National Business Association of Colombia. Belleza y Salud is considered the most important business opportunity in South America for distributors, suppliers, import/export groups and managers looking for the latest international trends and information. The 2018 edition will take place from 3 to 7 October with more than 370 exhibitors and over 56,000 visitors.
Among the new initiatives for next year is the first edition of Cosmoprof India, to be held in Mumbai on 10 and 11 September 2018 at the Sahara Star Hotel. The exhibition is co-organised by BolognaFiere and UBM. The Indian beauty market is constantly evolving and continues to see a double-digit annual growth. Cosmoprof India will present new opportunities for companies focused on finished products, especially on skin, body and hair care, to increase their visibility and revenue.
In addition, in order to take advantage of the growth and development of new Asian markets, BolognaFiere Cosmoprof will participate as international sales agent to other major initiatives in the beauty sector in South-East Asia: AseanBeauty in Thailand from 3 to 5 May 2018, PhilBeauty in the Philippines from 30 May to 1 June 2018, VietBeauty in Vietnam from 19 to 21 July 2018 and BeautyExpo in Malaysia from 5 to 8 October 2018.
The international promotion of the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna platform will be carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development in Italy and ITA, following the great results achieved in the last editions. On the road events will be held in strategic markets to reinforce the leading position of the Cosmoprof network and facilitate new business relationships with local key players and buyers. These are the venues scheduled for the promotion of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2018: South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Russia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Tanzania and Mozambique.
